@lzael maNGAP....!!

3 Reason

THREE REASONS WHY I AM A MOSLEM

As we know, there are many religions in Indonesia such as Islam, Buddha, Hindu, Christen Protestant, Catholic, and Kong Hu Chu. My religion is Islam, so I am a Moslem. There are three reasons why I am a Moslem. First, I live around Moslems. Second, I am just learning about Islam. Third, I believe that Islam will guide me to the true way of life.

Family is more influent in someone life. “Like a son, like a father”, this statement explains that a child will do and has characteristic as his father or family. My father and my mother are Moslems. Since I was child, they always explained to me that Islam is the true religion even though I did not know what a religion was. Therefore, I followed their religion.

After I was a seven old, I went to elementary school (SD). There, I didn’t studied general lessons at all, but also religion lesson (Islam). I also studied Islam in Madrasah Diniyah, Langgar and Mosque. All of my teachers always explained about the truth of Islam, such as Al-Quran, Hadis etc.

I am still studying Islam right now. I am following the rule of Islam as long as I can because Islam is never force Moslem to do the impossible thing. I have believed that Allah is The One. He has no father or son. Everything in creation was begun by him. He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. I believe that Islam is true religion. Allah said in Al-Quran:

إن الدين عند الله الإسلام

In my conclusion, I believe that Islam will save me in the world and the beyond.

About Agung

ABOUT AGUNG

I had a friend. His name was M. Agung Hidayatullah. He came from Bojonegoro. His birthday was the 25th of July. He was simple man and friendly. His friends like him, especially I am. I knew him since first semester. Since I knew him, he was never naughty so that every lecture praised him. Therefore, his life was peaceful. Last week, he gave me his curriculum vitae. He told me that the interesting events in his life were visiting Wali Songo graves, getting ID card and driver’s license, and registering to be participant of MTQ in Blitar.

Agung had cousin working in Kalimantan. His cousin was success man. So, he wanted to make a ceremonial meal. To express his ceremonial meal, he invited his family to pilgrimage to Wali Songo’s graves after Idul Fitri 1420 H. (the celebration at the end of the fasting month). At that tour, Gung-Gung (Agung’s call name) felt that the journey was challenging. He never imagined that he would surround Java before. He had to climb a mountain to arrive one of Wali Songo’s graves. He must bring thin plastic bag (kresek) in order to not lose his sandal which would be exchanged. He said “there were many pilgrims; I worried my sandal would be exchanged with the other”.

Coincided with General Election 2004, he got ID card and driver’s license. He expected those before. Therefore, he was happy after getting those. “I always hope to get ID card and driver’s license, because I want to be a participant in General Election 2004”, he told me. Now that he had a driver’s license, he could go anywhere using motorcycle, needless worry about police’s interrogation.

Now, he will join the contest of Koranic recitation or MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an). Two weeks ago, he was selected to have list in Blitar. When he registered, he felt so nervous. He was not sure that he will be a winner because the participants were the best recitations (qurra’) from East Java. “However,” I suggested, “you have to keep your spirit. You have to try and be the best. It is still process. Whoever wants to be the best but not all wants to get a process”.

If you have a friend as Agung, I am sure you will be comfortable. He is smart boy, obedient, and gratify. Do not be friend with bad boys, impolite boys and lazy boys because tomorrow you will have a character as them.

Culture

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN INDIA

The report of Kompas about culture in the last year of 2006, reported about the India culture. The country which Tajmahal was built belongs among countries that have a good human resource. The development of economic in this country always increases every year. Near 5% in one year, the persons of rank in India always increase to. Unfortunately, the second country in the world that has common folk, its people has a bad usual. It is a bad usual in matter pertaining to traffic. And this make image that that folk is impolite.

Usually, the drivers kept on going right through a red light. Getting in front of other cars by left way is the usual scenery. The way of across is random. They across the way without turn on the sign light. So, many accidents occur. And not rarity, many cars in the country which has a capital city in New Delhi are dented. The prime minister of India ordered to the people that they must obey the traffic’s laws. But the people ignored it. This report should make Indonesia have an image about traffic’s laws. Absolutely, the country not only increases about the human resource. But the morality of folk must be balance with the advance of human resource in that country.

About Nothing

CAN NOT DO NOTHING ABOUT NOTHING

Two days ago, I felt not so good with my heart because my girl was angry with me. So, I stayed alone in my room, listened to music and played game Hangaroo in order to refresh my feeling. Actually, that game looks like puzzle. That game ordered me to make a phrase in one box use letters in another box. Finally, I was successful to make a phrase. That phrase was “CAN NOT DO NOTHING ABOUT NOTHING.” I thought, the meaning of this phrase is explanation that everyone can’t do anything without an idea or planning before. After that, I claimed that phrase was very interesting.

Everyone has to have an idea or planning before doing something, so that they can do it perfectly and not vain. As a Moslem, I agree with this phrase. Why? Because this statement was appropriate with a Hadis (traditional collection of stories relating words or deeds of Muhammad S.A.W.). In a Hadis which was narrated by Bukhori and Muslim, Muhammad said that every activity depends on its intention. Who wants (plans) to be a rich man; absolutely they will do how to be a rich man. So, plan and do whatever as well as that is possible and useful.

Why that phrase was very interesting, because if someone do anything and before he/she do it, he/she does have not a planning before, that activity will be vain. One example, if a student goes to a market and he does not have a planning; what he has to do there, it is will be gratuitous. Preferable, he does his home work in home according to finish it perfectly.

In my conclusion, before doing anything, we must have a planning. We can learn from anything included from playing a game. Because of that we will know what the effect, whether useful for us or not. []
